I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
